Join West Side Grows Together for the Season of Giving: Community, Kindness, and Connection
Celebrate the spirit of the holidays with a day of community, kindness, and connection at the Season of Giving event Happening on Saturday, December 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM, this heartwarming event will take place in front of La Flor Grocery Store located at 1100 West 2nd Street, Wilmington, DE 19805, at the corner of West 2nd and North Van Buren Streets.
Make this holiday season brighter together—bring family, friends, and neighbors as the West Side embraces the joy of giving. This free community event is open to the public and offers something for everyone including:
Food Giveaways: Enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals by La Flor Grocery Store and L.E.X Allure Beauty Spa, bagged food from Be Ready CDC
Community Resources: Access helpful services and support from local organizations with over 8 tables of winter clothing, baby items, hygienic items and more from Terrie M Williams Expansion
Hot Beverage Station: Warm up with complimentary drinks from Hell's Belles Bake Shop, generously sponsored by Danny Rich of Team First State Properties

Keep the festivities going with a festive neighborhood stroll during the Light Up 4th Street event on Wednesday, December 18th! Meet at 4:30 PM at Be Ready Church at 1411 West 4th Street for Light Up 4th Street: Neighborhood Stroll. Community members and partners will light up the neighborhood with cheerful decorations on their home and business facades, offering a festive walk along 4th Street. Don’t miss this enchanting opportunity to celebrate the season.
