After a two year hiatus, West Side Grows Together proud to announce the return of the West Side Art Loop. COVID-19 has impacted our West Side community in unimaginable ways—and the Westside is coming back stronger and more resilient. Thus, this year’s showcase theme will focus on Mental Health Awareness.

On Friday May 6th starting at 6pm, various small businesses will host local artists to display their work for purchase. Come join us on the West Side this Spring as we support our thriving local artist & small business community!

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Will restaurant spaces have a designated area for art?

    Yes. Each location will have a designated area for artists to set up and display their work. Please note; you may be sharing the space with another artist.

  2. Will there be tables and chairs provided?

    No. Artists are responsible for their own table, chairs and any other materials for set up they may need.

  3. Will there be lighting in any venue that is vacant?

    Each of our vacant commercial properties that we are activating for this event are in vary degrees of construction. With this said, if you have specific lighting needs it is important to visit your space before the day of the event.

  4. Do artists need to bring easels, frames, etc.?

    Yes. Artists are responsible for their own table, chairs and any other materials for set up they may need.

  5. Can artwork be hung?

    If you require your artwork to be hung on a wall, you will need to contact the business owner before the day of the event and ask for permission to use their wall space.

  6. How many pieces can be brought?

    Artists are responsible for visiting and meeting with the business owner at their assigned locations to determine space for pieces.

  7. How big can pieces of artwork be?

    Artists are responsible for visiting and meeting with the business owner at their assigned locations to determine size for pieces.

  8. What venue will I be assigned?

    Please check your email for information regarding your assigned location. Email correspondence will come from Jacqueline Castañeda at jcastaneda@westsidegrows.org.

  9. What time can I set up/break down?

    The event will start promptly at 6pm. Please notify the business owner at your location of when you will need to set up and breakdown.

  10. How long is the artwork up?

    Please discuss this with the business owner at your location.
