Local Is Better is coming back to the West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park this Wednesday bringing over 35 local vendors alongside fresh produce, free entertainment, and so more!

On Wednesday, October 30th, West Side Grows Together (WSGT) will partner with sponsor Jefferson Street Center, Lucky Shot Coffee Co., and the City Of Wilmington and gather friends, farmers, local businesses, and community partners for the Local Is Better Harvest Market & Movie Night –  a fun and festive farewell to the West Side Farmers Market season at Cool Spring Park.  For more event details see below or check out Facebook.

WHAT: The Local Is Better Harvest Market & Movie Night will include funky music and DJ Black Ice, bouncy house for the kids, face painting by artists Ilana’z Glitterbugz, drum circle guided by local percussionist Aaron Walker, hot food vendors including The Stand and Moto Moto Kitchen, baked goods, health & wellness products, fresh produce, plants, herbs, vintage clothes and more.

WHERE: Cool Spring Park (near the fountain) located at 10th and Van Buren Streets, Wilmington, DE. Free parking available around park perimeter. Restrooms will be provided.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 30th from 3:00-8:00pm **Note special early start time**

Harvest Farmers Market from 3:00-6:00pm & Halloween Movie Night featuring Ghostbusters (1984) starts at 6:00pm.

The West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park runs from July through October every year. The market is a community-based initiative to bring fresh healthy food and local goods to the community. The final date for 2024 will be Wednesday, October 30th. The market is currently accepting WIC, SFMNP, SNAP, and EBT. Please visit the website to learn more about the West Side Farmers Market.
